TIP is a Tourism Industry Association of Canada (TIAC) ID card program for employees and students who are actively engaged in the Canadian tourism industry. Discounts are available for members of the program, and CATT students and teachers are eligible.

When one of Germain Landry’s four children entered the Canadian Academy of Travel and Tourism (CATT) at St. Mary's Secondary School in Cobourg, Ontario, he could not have foreseen how it would come to involve his family so fully.

Many new programs have joined the Academy during the 2007-2008 school year, and we look forward to continuing to build a successful pan-Canadian program. The three latest schools to join are: Gimli High School in Gimli, Manitoba; Langley Fundemental Middle and High School in Langley, BC; and Riverton Collegiate Institute in Riverton, Manitoba.

On secondment from the Ottawa Carleton District School Board since 1995, Mrs. Stevens has worked tirelessly to integrate tourism studies into the high school curriculum. Prior to this, Mrs. Stevens spent over 25 years in the field of education.
