Starting an Academy

Starting a Canadian Academy of Travel & Tourism program at your school brings exciting possibilities into your classroom, allowing students to engage in the Travel & Tourism industry while they are still attending high school.

Each participating school appoints a School Coordinator for the Academy to organize and implement their Academy program.  The principal and vice-principal work closely with the coordinator any other Academy teachers to support of the program.

The Canadian Academy of Travel & Tourism (CATT) programs succeed because of the strong leadership displayed by Coordinators and a commitment to excellence by the school community to the delivery of the program.

In each program, schools will receive access to on-line Travel & Tourism teaching resources for teachers and learning activities for students.  CATT teachers are also invited to be part of the CATT Educator's Conference, held in conjunction with the Canadian Tourism Human Resource Council’s HR Forum.

CATT programming is available at 3 difference levels.
