Gold Level Program

The Canadian Academy of Travel & Tourism (CATT) Gold Level program is designed give high school students the opportunity to build the foundation of a tourism career while staying in school and acquiring skills for post-secondary education, for life long learning, and for work in the tourism industry. CATT Gold students demonstrate learning outcomes referenced to the National Occupational Standards for Transferable Skills established by the Canadian Tourism Human Resource Council, the Employability Skills 2000+ assembled by the Conference Board of Canada and HRSD Essential Skills. The Gold program encourages Tourism sector career planning.
Schools interested in creating a GOLD Academy program in their school would go through an application process. Working closely with the Canadian Academy of Travel & Tourism office and the local Tourism Human Resource Organization, the school would build an internal foundation for the program, establish ties with local industry and recruit students to be involved.
Upon registration with CATT the school will receive access to online teaching resources and suggested curriculum learning activities.
There is no fee for a CATT Gold Level program, however, there is a minimum three-year commitment to this level of Academy involvement.
